A peel pad and retinal treatment had a very science-y baby.

These are far more than exfoliating pads. RetaXome combines stabilized retinal delivered through Hydrinity’s biomimetic exosome technology with a proprietary 5-acid blend, antimicrobial peptide, hyaluronic acid, ectoin and barrier-supporting ingredients. The goal is to simultaneously resurface, stimulate renewal, refine pores and texture, brighten discoloration, and support hydration and barrier recovery.

What makes these especially cool is the delivery system. The retinal is encapsulated to help protect its stability and deliver it to the skin, while the acids work at the surface. In clinical testing, the treatment showed visible improvements in texture, overall appearance and pore visibility, with improvement in hyperpigmentation reported as early as 2 weeks.

I especially recommend these for fine lines, pigmentation, dullness, congestion, enlarged-looking pores and uneven texture, including people who haven't tolerated traditional retinoids well. They are used just every 3 nights, which makes them a nice option for someone who wants a serious active without applying another retinoid every night.

My take: This is one of my favorite kinds of skincare: multiple pathways working together instead of throwing one trendy ingredient at one problem. You are getting exfoliation + retinal + hydration + barrier support in one treatment step.
